Community Planning Commission
Four pilot Community Planning Commissions have been formed in the unincorporated communities
of Arden Arcade, Carmichael/Old Foothill Farms, Fair Oaks and
Rio Linda/Elverta. Patterned after the County's Planning Commission,
the Councils are geared to provide local control over many
land-use issues that affect the community's quality of life.
They replaced their area's Community Planning Advisory Council,
a panel that provided advisory recommendations to land-use
issues.
