Foothill Farms has a special place in my heart. That part of Sacramento County is where I was raised -- and I still have family residing there.
Foothill Farms had a strong sense of community when I lived there. Today neighbors remain committed to improving the area’s quality of life. Working together, the neighborhood is pursuing economic revitalization and community identity for a bright future. I encourage all residents to be involved in the Foothill Farms Community Task Force that meets regularly and provides a network for neighbors to work on issues of mutual concern.
The dedication of the members of the Foothill Farms Community Task Force is reminiscent of the strength of the neighborhood when I lived there. For more information about the task force and the next meeting, please visit www.foothillfarms.org.

North Highlands is one of the best-kept secrets in all of Sacramento County. Its affordability and livability, the excellent Rio Linda Elementary School District, and a rapidly improving Grant Union High School District, make it a wonderful community in which to live and raise a family.
North Highlands now has a community services team (NORCAST), initiated by the Board of Supervisors, and dedicated to providing better services to the community in the areas of code enforcement, public works, social services, and other areas. A streetscape plan for the improvement of Watt Avenue, art and parks projects, and the on-going energy of the VISIONS Task Force, make North Highlands one of the most active communities in the County.
