Welcome to the North Highlands-Foothill Farms Community Website!

North Highlands is a strong, vibrant community that is enriched with a vast history. North Highlands is a diverse, family-oriented and an active community that works together today for a better tomorrow. North Highlands is a community of 44,000 residents that is located approximately 10 miles northeast of downtown Sacramento in an unincorporated area of Sacramento County.

The community was formally established with the opening of the North Highlands post office in July of 1952 and this unincorporated area grew with the development of the McClellan Air Force Base (now known as McClellan Business Park). McClellan Business Park is one of the largest business parks in California and will ultimately employ up to 34,000 individuals. To learn more about North Highland’s history, please click here. The Hillsdale Business Information Center is providing a variety of free to low-cost workshops to provide you with assistance regarding: Marketing, Retirement, Proprietorship, Understanding Your Credit History, and more.

MEETINGS

  • VISIONS - North Highland area residents and businesses work together to ensure the security, health and economic vitality of North Highlands business areas and residential neighborhoods.
  • Community Planning Advisory Council (CPAC) - Community Planning Advisory Councils have been created in the unincorporated areas of the County to facilitate and invite citizen participation with the planning process regarding the present and future development policies affecting their community.

  • Community Assistance and Resource Center
    Sacramento County now offers two methods for reporting any of the following hazards and nuisances. The Municipal Services Agency is pleased to provide its customers with a website to initiate requests regarding a service, such as an abandoned vehicles, animal/wildlife damage and hazards, flood or levee problems, zone violations, and more. Please contact Customer Service directly at (916) 875-5656 or to report a hazard on line, click here.
  • Sacramento County Department of Transportation (SACDOT):
    SACDOT is pleased to provide its customers with a website to initiate requests for maintenance in Sacramento County. If requests are regarding an emergency service, such as roadway obstruction or traffic signal malfunction please contact Customer Service directly at (916) 875-5171.
